INCREASE STAFFING LEVELS

-When nurses staffing levels are increased patient safety, workload and care can be improved. Further research acknowledged that when there is less staff in an hospital department patients priorities may sometimes not met due and this can cause patients and their relatives to file complaints to managers.

-When nurses are supported with increase of staff which can sometimes be costly to the NHs the level of their stress can be improved greatly as everybody will have the opportunity to share workload among others.

-Nurse patient’s ratio can be used to compare units and patients outcomes in relation to nursing staffing; which can also help in reducing stress as nurses can have different patient ratios recommended by the ward when the ward is fully staffed.
